I was born in Australia in the early 1970's and have lived in many places so far in my life in 3 countries (Australia, South Africa, and the USA). At the moment I live in Austin, Texas.

My single biggest interest is travel - as of April 2008 I have been to 27 countries on 5 continents (I have not yet been to South America). Most recently I spent several weeks in South Africa.

An outgrowth of my love of travel has been my interest in loyalty marketing, especially Frequent Flyer programs. This interest has now crossed over into my professional life and is what led to the founding of RewardsDB.com and more recently VirtualDiscountCard.com.

Apart from travel I am something of a homebody. I enjoy watching TV (my current favourite shows are Battlestar Galactica, Torchwood, and That Mitchell and Webb Look), listening to music (my favourite artists are Robbie Williams, Billy Bragg, and Kylie), spending time online, and reading (my all-time favourite author is Alice Sheldon/James Tiptree Jr).
